Banana Republic Regent St Window Installation
Project: Banana Republic window installation
Client: Banana Republic/RIBA
Role: Concept and design, with George Thomson/Visitor and Ushida Findlay Architects
We were invited to collaborate with Ushida Findlay Architects, to create a window installation for Banana Republic's Regent Street Store, with the theme of 'Polished Safari' and 'Play'. We created a form that played with the relationship between the shop front glazing and the street. After testing with melting plastic safari toys, we settled on splash shape, as if a bucket of liquid had been splashed against the glass, and frozen in time. At the point were the splash hit the glass a larger silhouette of the safari animal toys appears.
